The Lilly Pad - one of the places for gem mining near Blue Ridge, GA - always fun and entertaining so grab a bucket and try your luck. There are Emeralds, Sapphires, Rubies, Quartz of all colors, Tigers Eye and Moonstonesjust to name a few. Our Flume is located in the rustic mountain setting of the Lilly Pad on the upper level.· Enjoy the breezes and view while trying your luck.
You make your selection between the variety of bucket sizes that we offer. Buckets are full of pay-dirt and gemstones of course. At the flume you are handed a sieve and you can proceed to slowly wash the dirt away in our flume and uncover the treasures left on the bottom. You will find some large pieces - BUT watch out - some some Garnets, and some small Rubies might still be hiding in the bottom of your tray. Gem stones have healing properties that you might want to read up about! Our experienced staff can always help you spot and claim your treasure! When you are done, you can take your loot and embark on a new adventure of turning these rough gems into fine jewelry! You may, of course, head for the neighborhood jeweler - BUT, how about having these polished and tumbled and make these into jewels yourself! We currently offer three sizes of buckets for gem mining:
| $ 15.00 | One gallon, individual bucket |
| $ 25.00 | Two gallons of gem dirt to be shared with one or two of your friends (maximum three people) |
| $ 75.00 | Over 65 lbs of gem dirt, with additional large gem stones added. To be shared with up to five of your friends. Includes gem id card. |
